Crataegus azarolous var. aronia is one of the most important medicinal plants used widely in folk medicine for its cardiotonic, vasorelaxant and hypotensive effect. Hawthorn belongs to amember of the Rosaceae family, which contains many flavonoid and procyanidine as the majorcomponents for treating various cardiovascular conditions. An extract prep...
The cerebral cortex contains huge numbers of neurons. Activity of these neurons is to some extent synchronized in regular firing rhythms ('brain waves'). Many researchers have
investigated the effect of various events to the EEG signals such as meditation and
classical music. EEG signals from subjects at rest, as well as in different cognitive stat...
The aim of the present study was to investigate the relaxant effects of rutin on rat thoracic aorta, ileum and trachea. Rutin (1X10-7 - 6X10-3 M) caused a concentration-dependent relaxation of aortic rings precontracted with phenylephrine (PE 10-6M) while produced non-significant relaxed effect on KCl induced contraction with Log IC50’s -3.025 and...
Background
Unraveling myeloperoxidase’s (MPO) correlation with coronary artery disease (CAD) and genetic variations, this study seeks to enhance diagnostic precision and therapeutic strategies.
Results

Background: Coronary artery disease is caused by plaque buildup in the arteries' walls that deliver blood to the heart. The study examined the correlation between the IL-6 gene promoter 174G>C polymorphism, blood IL-6 levels, and specific physiological parameters in Kurdish people from Iraq with stable coronary artery disease (CAD). Methods: The in...

Chronic myeloid leukemia (CML) result from many reactions of heredity non-heredity factors. The null genotype for glutathione S-transferase (GSTM1 or GSTT1) is regarded a risk agent leukemia, especially on CML in various inhabitants. The current study focused on evaluating association of two polymorphic identified genes Glutathione S-Transferase Mu...
Exogenous administration of hydrogen sulfide (H2S) is emerging as an alternative anticancer treatment. H2S-releasing compounds have been shown to exert a strong anticancer effect by suppressing proliferation and/or inducing apoptosis in several cancer cell types, including colorectal carcinoma (CRC). The mechanism whereby exogenous H2S affects CRC...
Development of optical nanobiosensors is one of the important priorities especially in the field of biomedical diagnostics science and technology. The application of nanobiosensors has been accelerated with the introduction of plasmonic NPs, which overcome the most of the limitations in the case of conventional optical nanobiosensors. Since the pla...
The efficacy of different modalities of treating breast cancer is inhibited by several limitations such as off-targeted drug distribution, rapid drug clearance, and drug resistance. To overcome these limitations, we developed Lf-Doxo-PMNSs for combined chemo-MF-PTT. The PMNSs were synthesized by hydrothermal method and their physicochemical propert...
The utilization of AuNPs in therapeutic applications has been accelerated by discovering their catalytic activity consistent with the activity of natural enzymes. However, to reduce unwanted activities, it is imperative to fully understand their catalytic mechanisms to increase efficiency and safety. Therefore, along with other reports, we aimed to...
AuNPs with enzyme-like features have received strong attention in different areas, although limited data is available in literature on their biological/industrial functions. NPs especially Au counterparts have been shown to functionally mimic the activity of antioxidant enzyme. Indeed, due to low cytotoxicity and SPR characteristics of AuNPs, there...
Multiple sclerosis (MS) is a type of autoimmune disease where immune cell attacks our cells mistakenly; its severity is measured by expanded disease status scale (EDSS). The study aims the investigation of −1082 polymorphism in interleukin 10 (IL-10) as one of the etiologies that develops the disease. This is a case-control study that allele-specif...
In this study, we formulated silymarin-HSA nanoplex and assayed its ability to reduce LPS-induced toxicity in vitro and in vivo. Silymarin molecules were encapsulated into HSA nanoplex and the loading efficiency and characterization of fabricated nanoplex were performed by using HPLC, TEM, SEM, DLS, FTIR analysis, and theoretical studies. Antibacterial assay was also done on two Gram-positive and Gram-negative bacterial stra...
Nickel oxide nanoparticles (NiO NPs) have received great interests in medical and biotechnological applications. However, their adverse impacts against biological systems have not been well-explored. Herein, the influence of NiO NPs on structural changes, heme degradation and aggregation of hemoglobin (Hb) was evaluated by UV-visible (Vis), circula...
It has long been known that endothelial Ca2+ signals drive angiogenesis by recruiting multiple Ca2+-sensitive decoders in response to pro-angiogenic cues, such as vascular endothelial growth factor, basic fibroblast growth factor, stromal derived factor-1α and angiopoietins. Recently, it was shown that intracellular Ca2+ signaling also drives vascu...
The method was developed to detect crystals (calcium oxalate) in plant and animal tissues and stain the bacteria by using silver nitrate solution2%. By adding the prepared solution to the bacterial fixed on the slide and leaving it for 10 minutes at room temperature, then expose the slide to ultraviolet light for 30 minutes. Also expose the slide o...
Nicotinic acid adenine dinucleotide phosphate (NAADP) gates two-pore channels 1 and 2 (TPC1 and TPC2) to elicit endo-lysosomal (EL) Ca 2+ release. NAADP-induced EL Ca 2+ signals may be amplified by the endoplasmic reticulum (ER) through the Ca 2+-induced Ca 2+ release mechanism (CICR). Herein, we aimed at assessing for the first time the role of EL...
The acidic vesicles of the endolysosomal (EL) system are emerging as an intracellular Ca2+ store implicated in the regulation of multiple cellular functions. The EL Ca2+ store releases Ca2+ through a variety of Ca2+-permeable channels, including Transient Receptor Potential (TRP) Mucolipin 1-3 (TRPML1-3) and two-pore channels 1-2 (TPC1-2), whereas...
This study was designed to determine effects of exercise training (Moderate and severe) and alpha tocopherol on lipid profiles and organ weights in hypercholesterolemic domestic rabbits. Vascular endothelium plays a key role in the local regulation of vascular tone and vascular architecture. However, it is unclear whether the combination of NKCC cotransporter with endothelial mediated factor and potassium channel in rat aortic ring contributes in regulation of the vascular activity. In the current study, the potential role of endot...

Atherosclerosis and cardiovascular diseases remain as a major health
problem cause premature death in much of the worlds population (Chan,
1998). The origin of these diseases were related to dietary improperty
Kumer, (1997) and genetic influences Thomson, (2001). The dietary
imbalance is relating to cholesterol (Hexeberg, 1993).

In order to increase humidity to 99% I have to put a container filled with water in side (Thermo Scientific) CO2 incubator. The problem is that due to evaporation of water, water collects at bottom of the incubator which may lead to contamination.
Could you please help me to overcome this problem?
I meant that we put tube of CO2 inside normal incubator and culturing Cell line in it?
Is it Correct or not?

In rat aortic rings after stabilization in tissue bath, then aorta preincubated with BaCl2 (which lead contraction of aorta) then by contracting aorta with nor-epinephrine. When it reaches the maximum contraction, then dose response curve relaxation is done for SNP as shown in the attached files.
the core of my question is, should we used BaCl2 as baseline=0 or NE as baseline=0?
Please can you help me?
