Our freshmen students keep breaking glass pipettes, usually resulting in injury. We'd like to find unbreakable replacements for glass pipettes in our lab exercise that uses catechol. Catechol behaves much like phenol, doesn't it? Which rules out polystyrene, polycarbonate, yes?
