Observational learning is one of the most important learning tools for the education of people with autism spectrum disorders (ASD). The aim of current study was to investigate the effect of two kinds of demonstration, namely video and live modelling on learning of motor skills, in children with ASD. The kinematic motion data of each child were rec...

This study examines the effect of yoga training program (YTP) on the severity of autism in children with High Function Autism (HFA). Twenty-nine children aged 7 to 15 (mean = 11.22, SD = 2.91) years were randomly allocated to either yoga or control group. The participants in the yoga group received an 8-week (24-session) Yoga Training Program (YTP)...

People with autism spectrum disorder (ASD) have limitations in their attention and working memory that affect their motor learning. The aim of current study was to compare point-light display (PLD) to video observation as instructional models for teaching motor skills to children with ASD versus typically developing (TD) children. We randomly assig...
Article
Individuals with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) have difficulties recognizing and understanding others’ actions. The goal of the present study was to determine whether children with and without ASD show differences in the way they process stimuli depicting Biological Motion (BM). Thirty‐two children aged 7–16 (16 ASD and 16 typically developing (TD...
Article
Previous studies have shown that transcranial direct current stimulation (tDCS) over the primary motor cortex (M1) can facilitate the consolidation of motor skills in people who are typically developed, especially when tDCS is combined with goal-oriented exercises. Yet, the effect of tDCS on the motor skills of children with autism spectrum disorde...
Article
Background There have been some controversies over the ability of individuals with autism spectrum disorder (ASD) to perceive biological motion. In this study, we used electroencephalography and behavioural measures (recognition test) to examine whether or not children with ASD can correctly identify biological motion. Method Twenty participants w...

Question
As we know, mirror neuron system (MNS) has important role on our observational motor learning, and suppression of alpha mu rhythm (8-12 Hz) on C3 and C4 sites is a sign of participation of MNS in action perception and imitation. Have you studied any research about effect of motor learning on changes of brain waves? Please share your knowledge with us ;)
Thanks
