Project
The key project goals include: (a) to analyse efficiency of institutional frameworks for specific types of growth in Slovakia; (b) to compare the institutional frameworks throughout the small and open economies in the European Union; and (c) to design an optimal mix of institutions, which is conductive to synergic effects between specific types of growth (smart, inclusive and sustainable). The project also has a specific goal: (i) to implement an in-depth analysis of institutional framework for the smart growth and (ii) to explore options for reconfiguration of the smart growth framework, as to maximise potential for the knowledge-based growth.

The Prime Minister's Office have commissioned a number of impact assessment studies. The studies focus on implementation of the European Structural and Investment Funds (ESIF) in Slovakia in programming periods 2007-2013 and 2014-2020. The studies analyse: (a) progress in achieving targets of the EU 2020 Strategy; (b) synergy effects between policies aiming smart, inclusive and sustainable growth; (c) management of the ESIF and efficiency of the procedures and regulations related to the ESIF implementation. The studies are prepared under aegis of the KPMG Slovakia.
