This "project" serves more as a label for both long-term and temporary research goals oriented towards documenting some of the game texts, selected communities and phenomena associated with them. The primary function of the texts collected under this label is contribution to the body of knowledge about digital games; some texts are case studies and others aim at identifying and /or forming questions or problems for further research.
Project
The focus of the research is the complex interplay between the story and the mechanics in digital games. The goal is to demonstrate how the narrative elements and the ludic elements together form the unique player experience. The expected outcome is a collection of case studies involving textual analysis of selected independent titles.
