We investigate the action of insecticidal proteins in insects; focusing on Bacillus thuringiensis toxins that are effective against Lepidoptera, Diptera, Coleoptera and Hemiptera. Through collaborative projects we also study insect response to chemical and biological pesticides and insect resistance to pesticides. I teach "Biotechnology" and "Ethics & Communication in Biotechnology" and assist in the "Applied Biotechnology" degree program. I co-teach "Molecular Entomology" a graduate course.
