Question
Dear Art Creator,
I would like to ask you to participate in my research looking for answers about which art disciplines suffer and which art disciplines benefit from digital-virtual ways of communication between art creators and art recipients. In the previous year, I led the first part of this research focused on the perspective of art receivers (quantitative survey, 220 art receivers from 36 countries). This part of the research focuses on the art creator’s perspective (qualitative interviews, international art creators/performers). The research methodology is based on the aesthetic theory of Maria Gołaszewska, quantified on the theory of management. The research results will be published in the book entitled “Management of art – Art of management.”
Some art disciplines are more sensitive to the digitalisation of the process between art creators and receivers; others do not lose their qualities regardless of in-real or digital form of participation. The COVID-19 pandemic has significantly influenced our creative activities in the last two years. Our pre-pandemic traditional ways of creating, performing, and communicating with art recipients changed – sometimes negatively, sometimes positively – and today, we live in two parallel worlds: traditional/in-real and digital/virtual. Furthermore, during the pandemic limitations, many of us started to run new artistic projects or maintain previous artistic projects in new dimensions.
Considering all the above, I would like to know your opinions on the below issues. If you feel the need for giving longer answers, do not hesitate to do it. I will be very grateful for all opinions comparing the traditional/in-real and digital/virtual forms of art creation.
In case of any doubts or questions about the research, please contact me at mszostak@san.edu.pl
With kind regards,
Michał Szostak, D.Mus.A., Associate Professor

If you like music, movies, theatre plays, literature, poetry, paintings, sculptures, museums, galleries, fashion, architecture, video games - we need to know your opinion!
This survey is designed to assess the differences in participation in arts by art receivers through natural/traditional versus digital/new ways.
We want to find out how the pandemic time - that forced us to move to digital ways of participation in arts - will influence our future behaviors in this area. We focus on the art receiver perspective.
