Introduction
My research focuses on large-scale recent field movements, namely landslides, complex slides, and block slides. I am interested in developing a model to assist and monitor mass movements in hazardous areas to predicting “where” and “when” these catastrophic events may have a high probability to occur in the future worldwide. I am also willing to contribute to other types of natural disasters and save lives by using GIS, Remote Sensing, Internet of things, and Artificial Intelligence.

During the past two decades (2000–2020) many studies have been conducted to build strategies as preventing landslides. Most of these approaches are focusing on different methods (statistical, mathematical, and machine learning…etc.) for the same study area. In the present research, we are benchmarking the results of our approach at two different ge...

This research paper aims to model Mass Movements Susceptibility (MMS) in the province of Tétouan. First, we identified the characteristics and spatial mapping of the different types of MM (collapse, mudflows, and complex landslides) by means of the interpretation of satellite images and from fieldwork. Subsequently, we selected the predictive param...

Received: Accepted: Numerous bibliographic reviews related to the use of AI for the behavioral detection of farm animals are existed, but they only focus on a particular type of animal. We believe that some techniques used for some animals could also be used for other types of animals. The application and comparison of these techniques between anim...

Landslides are phenomena that cause significant human and economic losses. Researchers have investigated the prediction of high landslides susceptibility with various methodologies based upon statistical and mathematical models, in addition to artificial intelligence tools. These methodologies allow to determine the areas that could present a serio...

In a growing population context with less resources of soil and water, the irrigated agriculture allows us to increase the yield and the production of several crops in order to meet the high requirements of demands of food and fibers. Efficiently, an irrigation system should correctly evaluate the amount of water and also the timing, when apply cer...

Landslides are phenomena widely present around the world and responsible each year of numerous life loss and extensive property damage. Researchers have developed various methodologies to identify area of high susceptibility of landslides. However, these methodologies cannot predict 'when' landslides are going to take place. Indeed, Wireless Sensor...

The 590 km2 of the Western Rif (North of Morocco) is well known for active mass movements due to the strong climatic and anthropogenic aggressions in this area, where lithology and topographic relief are likely the phenomena that cause slope instability problems. In this study, we have focused on mass movements that have been occurred in the last t...

The North-Western RIF of Morocco is considered as one of the most mountains zone in the Middle East and North Africa. This area is more serious in the corridor faults region, where the recent reactivation of those tectonic layering may greatly contribute to the triggering of landslides. The consequences of this phenomenon can be enormous property d...

Irrigation, particularly pivot-center, is widely used around the world to fill the need of crop watering. This method of irrigation has a low efficiency compared to other methods of irrigation such as drip systems and generally they use water without consider the real need of plants. In this paper we propose an automation system based on the Intern...

The Colony Collapse Disorder (CCD) also entitled ‘Colony Loss’ has a significant impact on the biodiversity, on the pollination of crops and on the profitability. The Internet of Things associated with cloud computing offers possibilities to collect and treat a wide range of data to monitor and follow the health status of the colon. The surveillanc...

The main purpose of this study is to use logistic regression (RL) model to map landslide susceptibility in and around the area of Tetouan Mazari in the Northern Morocco. Parameters, such as lithology, slope gradient, slope aspect, faults, drainage lines, and hillshade, were considered. Landslide susceptibility map was produced using RL method and t...

the modelling of mass movements susceptibility (MMS) is essential for land-use planning and decision-making especially in the mountainous areas of Morocco. The main objective of this study is to create an MMS map for the Province of Chefchaouen in the north-western part of the Moroccan Kingdom using an index based approach (heuristic model). As a f...

Landslide susceptibility assessment uses geostatistical methods for the analysis of the relationships between landslides and the spatial distributions of instability factors. In this study, a detailed landslide susceptibility map was produced using an objective bivariate analysis method (weights of evidence, WOE) with datasets developed for a geogr...

Geographic information system (GIS) and remote sensing data covering large and inaccessible areas within short time and high precision have proved to be very effective tools to discern groundwater potential zones. In the area of Morocco known as the Lower Chaouia, located on the Atlantic coast between Casablanca and Mohammedia, groundwater occurs i...
