Introduction
Merfat Alardawi is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Visual and Audio Production at King Abdulaziz University. She received her PhD from Dublin City University, Ireland in 2023 for her research into the impact of watching Turkish drama on Saudi women's attitudes and perception patterns. Her core research interests include the areas of drama, television and film studies, with a particular interest concern the relationship between drama and comparative cultural studies.
