Bu bağlamda proje kapsamında öğrencilerin bilimsel süreç becerilerini geliştirmek amacıyla Web tabanlı, 5E öğrenme modeline dayalı ve AG destekli bir aktif öğrenme ve değerlendirme sistemi geliştirilecektir. Bu sistem öğrencilerin ilgi ve motivasyonlarını artırmanın yanında sınıf dışında, yaparak yaşayarak öğrenme, etkinlikleri tekrar yapabilme ve bu sayede öğrenmelerini pekiştirme imkanı sunacaktır. Aynı zamanda bu sistemin bilimsel süreç becerilerinin kazandırılması konusunda tecrübeye sahip olmayan öğretmen ve öğretmen adaylarını bilimsel süreç becerilerini anlamaları ve öğrencilere kazandırmaları konusunda bilgi ve becerilerinin arttırılmasında destek olacağı öngörülmektedir. Sistemde yer alacak AG uygulamalarının, 3B görselleştirme ve canlandırma özelliği, bilimsel süreç becerilerinin kazandırılmasında öğrencilerin soyut kavramları somut bir şekilde öğrenmelerine yardımcı olacak, öğrencilerin kendi çalışma ortamlarında bireysel olarak deney yapmalarına imkan sağlayacaktır. Ayrıca öğrenciler tehlike arz eden deneyleri aslına uygun olarak güvenli bir şekilde yapabileceklerdir. Bu teknolojinin herhangi bir mobil aygıt ile kolaylıkla kullanılabilir olması erişilebilirlik ve fırsat eşitliği açısından avantaj sağlamaktadır. Hem eğitim teknolojisi hem de fen bilimleri alan uzmanlarının bir araya gelerek disiplinler arası bir iş birliği içerisinde geliştirecekleri aktif öğrenme sistemi, öğrencilerin bilimsel süreç becerilerinin geliştirilmesine olumlu yönde katkı sunacaktır. Geliştirilecek bu Web tabanlı aktif öğrenme sistemi esnek ve dinamik bir yapıya sahip olduğundan ortaokul öğrencilerinin bilimsel süreç becerilerinin geliştirilmesinde kullanılabileceği gibi diğer öğretim seviyelerinden de kullanılabilecektir. Proje kapsamında iki aşamalı bir araştırma süreci ele alınacak olup, birinci aşamada Tasarım Tabanlı Araştırma, ikinci aşamada ise Karma Araştırma Yöntemi kullanılacaktır. Tasarım Tabanlı Araştırma (TTA) sürecinde; BSB-AÖS sisteminin ortaya çıkarılmasında analiz, tasarım, geliştirme ve iyileştirme süreçlerini içeren döngüsel bir süreç ele alınacaktır. Karma Araştırma Yönteminde desen olarak Yakınsayan Paralel Karma Desen kullanılacaktır. Böylece nicel ve nitel araştırmalardan elde edilen veriler eşzamanlı toplanacak ve bulgular karşılaştırmalı olarak yorumlanacaktır. Sonuç olarak MEB’in “2023 Eğitim Vizyonu” kapsamında ele aldığı ve “Öğrenme Süreçlerinde Dijital İçerik ve Beceri Destekli Dönüşüm” başlığı altında ifade edildiği gibi; proje kapsamında üretilecek Web Tabanlı ve AG destekli Aktif Öğrenme Sisteminin, öğrencilerin bilimsel süreç becerilerini geliştirme sürecinde daha etkin, uygulamalı ve aktif biçimde rol almalarını sağlayacak yeni nesil teknolojik araçları öğrenme süreçlerine dahil edecek ve öğretmenlerin de bu teknolojileri etkin bir şekilde kullanma ve teknoloji destekli eğitim içerikleri geliştirme kültürü kazanmalarına imkan tanıyacağı düşünülmektedir. EN: Scientific process skills being among the most , important skills that need to be possessed in the 21st century (NCREL 2003; NSF, 2000) play a crucial role in the acquisition of high order thinking skills providing important contributions for the children’s mental development. Scientific process skills are thinking skills that we use to create information, to think on problems and to formulise problems. When we consider the fact that the students in our country cannot have an adequate level of success in international exams such as TIMSS and PISA, we can say that especially scientific process skills cannot be adequately upskilled within the practices realized in the schools in our country. These skills are highly important in order to transfer the information learnt at educational environments into daily life. In addition, considering the subjects of the scientific studies conducted regarding the teaching of those skills, the lack of new generation studies with regard to upskill the scientific process skills is obvious. Within this context, an active Web based learning and assessment (BSB-AÖS) which is based on 5E learning model and AR (Augmented Reality) supported will be developed to improve the scientific process skills of students within the scope of the project. The active learning system to be developed online is anticipated to provide contributions in the development of self-planned learning and high order thinking skills of students as it is based on 5E learning model providing a constructivist approach, and to enable students being active and to motivate them in the learning process through AR technology-supported activities within the system. As the Web-based active learning system tobe developed has a flexible and dynamic structure, it will also be used in other education levels as well as being used in the development of scientific process skills of secondary school students. This system will enable learning by doing, redoing activities and thus, intensifying learning besides increasing interest and motivation. Meanwhile, the system is also foreseen to support teachers or candidate teachers having no experience in the teaching of scientific process skills in the process of understanding scientific process skills and increasing their knowledge and skills in upskilling students with these skills. The AR applications to be placed in the system will enable students to perform experiments in their individual study environments and will support them to learn abstract concepts concretely in the teaching of scientific process skills with 3D visualisation and animation features. In addition, students will be able to perform dangerous experiments in compliance with its original safely. The fact that this technology can be easily used with a mobile device also provides an advantage in terms of being accessible and equal opportunities. The active learning system to be developed by experts in both education technology and science with an interdisciplinary approach will provide positive contributions in the development of scientific process skills of students. As the Web-based active learning system to be developed has a flexible and dynamic structure, it will also be used in other education levels as well as being used in the development of scientific process skills of secondary school students. A two-phased research process will be conducted within the project and at the first phase a Design-Based Research will be used while a Mixed-Research Method will be used. A cyclical process covering analysis, design, development, and improvement processes will be used in the Design-Based Research to unveil the BSB-AÖS system. Convergent Parallel Mixed Method will be used as the Mixed Research Method. Consequently, the data obtained through quantitative and qualitative research will be collected simultaneously and the findings will be comparatively interpreted. In conclusion, as it has been stated under the headline “Digital Content and Skills Supported Transformation in Learning Processes” within the “2023 Education Vision” of Ministry of National Education; it is thought that the Web-Based and AR supported Active Learning System will enable students to play a more effective, applied and active role in the development of scientific process skills while including new generation technological tools in learning process and will also enable teachers to use those technologies more efficiently and upskill themselves with the culture of developing technology-supported education contents.
