Climate change analysis includes the study of several types of variables such as temperature, precipitation, carbon emission, and streamflow. In this study, we focus on basin hydrology and, in particular, on streamflow values. They are geographic and climatologic indicators utilized in the study of basins. We analyze these values to better understa...
This study aims to compare the municipal water distribution performance and classify the municipal water distribution systems in the provinces of Turkey using the Gray Relational Hierarchical clustering method for both 2006 and 2016. A correlation analysis was used to determine the variables affecting the distributed water. The Hierarchical gray cl...
This paper presents influence of treatment and mixing methods on recycled aggregate concretes (RAC) designed regarding various techniques. Absolute Volume Method (AVM) according to TS 802, Equivalent Mortar Volume Method (EMV), silica fume (SF) as a mineral addition were considered in the design of concretes. In total, four groups of concretes were...
In this study, a hybrid model combining discrete wavelet transforms (WTs) and artificial neural networks (ANNs) is used to estimate the monthly streamflow. The WT-ANN hybrid model was developed using the Daubechies main wavelet to predict the streamflow for three gauging stations on the Çoruh river basin one month in advance, with different combina...
The aim of this study was to analyse the win, draw, and loss outcomes of soccer matches with situational variables and performance indicators. Data from group stage matches spanning the ten years between the 2010/2011 and 2019/2020 seasons in the European Champions League, were used. One-way analysis of variance (ANOVA) and Tukey HSD (honestly sign...
Bu makale çalışmasında, mineral katkılı (silis dumanı) ve katkısız betonların karışım tasarımı için karar ağacı algoritmasıyla karışım tasarımı parametreleri 470 adet betona ait 3760 veri derlenerek belirlenmiştir. Elde edilen sonuçlar üzerinde yorumlar ve irdelemeler yapılmıştır. Karar ağacı algoritması sonuçları incelendiğinde, beton karışımları...
The use of assessment methods is essential for proper planning, improvement of the water system, and water economy in municipal water management. Thus, statistical model approaches can be used to evaluate the factors influencing water administration, understand
their implications, forecast future use, and develop these systems accurately. The main...
Araştırmanın amacını, alışveriş merkezlerini tercih eden tüketicilerin ürün algısı (product percetion) ve tüketim alışkanlıklarına (consumer habits) yönelik davranış desenleri incelemek, bu desenler arasında ilişkiyi ortaya koyarak modellemektir. İstanbul (Avrupa) içi alışveriş merkezlerini tercih eden tüketiciler çalışmanın birimlerini oluşturmuşl...
Meric (Maritsa, Evros) River is not only a transboundary river but also a border river among Turkey, Bulgaria and Greece. 65% of its catchment area is within the borders of Bulgaria. A portion of the lower part of Meric River constitutes the Turkey-Greece border, and the other portion of it flows in Turkey. The effects of global climate change are...
After seven years long civil war, Syria move to another phase and federal, confederal models are more pronounced than before. As time progresses, water issues get more importance over global and local agenda of the world. As is known Water issues associate with Geographical Science especially in terms of Water Resource Management, Demography and National Water Policy. From the outset, Statistics has been one of main disciplines supporting Geographical Sciences. The fact t...
FOREWORD
Turkey has had seriously experienced with zebra mussels problems and had started the site investigations, monitoring studies in some dams and irrigation structures in the beginning of 2000’s.
In Turkey, 629 small and large dams ,384 irrigation schemes ,98 water supply systems has been put in operation by State Hydraulic Works (DSİ) since t...
İklim değişiminin su ve toprak kaynakları üzerindeki olumsuz etkisi başta su güvenliğimiz
olmak üzere gıda güvenliğimizi de doğrudan etkileyecektir.Bu nedenle Su Politikaları

It is worthwhile to search that what really drives the two large dam’s construction rush in Africa? To
understand what has changed since the beginning of the 21st Century. When former Ethiopian Prime Minister Meles
Zenawi gave an interview following the signing of the Entebbe Agreement in 2010, he had said, “some people in
Egypt have old-fashioned...
After higher growth rate of population during the second half of the 20th Century, the 21st Century has begun with new paradigms to find sustainable solutions for high number of population lives in deep poverty. Some international conflicts related to transboundary water has transmitted to the new century Africa is home to most of the world’s major...
Sustainable water management in transboundary river basins have gained more importancy related with climate change induced uncertainty that have increased since last 30 years. It is obvious that beside of water shortage, uncertainty also can create more tension between neighbouring countries in near future. Because the current status of governance...

The Tigres River is a transboundary river that plays very important role on security, peace and stability in the Middle East. This paper presents trends computed for the forty-year period of yearly streamflows obtained from Upper Tigris Basin in Turkey. Because of the review of major trend studies for this region and the fact of streamflow being a...

It is crucial to understand the behavior of a basin for a sustainable basin management. Therefore, hydrological and geomorphological parameters need to be obtained in a healthy way.
The size of the basin, the shape and slope of the average density of the vegetation, the rivers usage purpose, the base flow of rivers, flood frequency and precipitation are amongst the quantitative and qualitative variables for that aim.
The lack of a sufficient number of reliable monitoring stations in some basins, the lack of continuous monitoring data, mismatch between the data obtained from different institutions, changes in rainfall data, the uncertainties caused by climate change impacts are considered adversely affecting the reliability of estimates of hydrological parameters.
It is important to know the general characteristics of the data to achieve realistic results of the research with the help of water resources data. This determination is implemented by selecting appropriate data analysis methods.
In this study, we aim to determine the local characteristics of geographical and basin regions by using basic and advanced statistical methods with particular variables. The similarities and differences between regions are identified with the help of multivariate methods by using the obtained characteristics.
The factors determined with clustering and factor analyses are used to describe and compare regions with geographical variables in this study.
