Introduction
Md. Sujahangir Kabir Sarkar received his PhD in climatic hazards from Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia, Malaysia. He is a professor in the department of economics and sociology of Patuakhali Science and Technology University, Bangladesh. Currently, he is working as a post doctoral research fellow at United Nations Univerity, Tokyo, Japan. His research interests are development economics, energy economics, environmental economics and climate change.
