This study investigated the production performance, household fish consumption, and commercial feasibility of prawn–carp–mola mixed gher farming system. Three treatments with different species compositions were compared: prawn + rohu, prawn + mola, and prawn + rohu + mola, each having different stocking densities. The results indicated that the int...
This study evaluated the effect of two commercial probiotics, zymetin, and super PS, on the culture environment, production, and economics of Macrobrachium rosenbergii aquaculture. The experiment was conducted using three treatments, including T1, probiotics applied in all culture phases; T2, during grow-out; and a control (C). Prawns were fed comm...
Most often male freshwater Prawn (Macrobrachium rosenbergii) exhibits higher growth compared to the female counterpart. The current study has been conducted to evaluate the production performance and the survival rate of mono-sex male freshwater prawn culture compared to mono-sex female and mixed-sex culture. Conjointly the study also appraises the...
The effect of stocking density on growth, production, feed utilization and condition factor of probiotic treated Macrobrachium rosenbergii were analyzed in the present study. Juvenile prawn of weight 3.48±1.4 g was stocked at the densities of 2, 3, 4 and 5 individuals/m² respectively in T1, T2, T3 and T4. A supplementary diet containing 32% protein...
The freshwater climbing perch, Anabas testudineus (Bloch, 1792), is an economically important, and nutritionally valuable food fish in south Asia. The present study provides the first complete description of life-history traits, i.e., length-frequency distributions (LFDs), length-weight relationships (LWRs), length-length relationship (LLR), condit...

This study evaluates the effect of probiotics, Zymetin, on the immune efficiency of Macrobrachium rosenbergii juvenile against pathogenic Vibriospp. and Aeromonasspp. The experiment was conducted in glass aquaria with same level of feeding under different treatments, that is, negative control (Cn), positive control with Vibrio spp. (Cv) and Aeromon...
The present study aimed to evaluate the effect of rate restricted feeding on the growth performance and feed utilization efficiency of prawn (Macrobrachium rosenbergii) in improved traditional pond culture system. There was a control group (T1, ad libitum of prawn) and two treatments which were 25% reduction(T2) and 50% reduction (T3) of artificial...
It runs a high risk of becoming drowsy of drivers who usually drive for long distances without any break in Bangladesh. It is well known that around one quarter of all serious roadway accidents is caused by sleepy drivers. It indicates that drowsiness is the main reason behind more road accident than drink driving. For avoiding accident the improve...
Solid trash management crisis is one of the most serious problems in Dhaka, the capital city of Bangladesh. Due to lack of motivation, awareness, proper selection of technology and adequate financial support, a considerable portion of wastes, 40-60% of trash are not properly stored, collected or disposed in the designated places for ultimate dispos...
In this paper, we compare the normalized channel capacity of cooperative cognitive radio network using the concept of combined SNR (signal to noise ratio) of 2-hop wireless link and the fading factor model under SIR (signal to interference ratio) of previous work. Three small scale fading models-Rayleigh, Nakagami-m and Lognormal-are used to determ...
The study was conducted to observe the impact of commercial probiotics application on growth and production performance of fresh water prawn (Macrobrachium rosenbergii) from August 2011 to March 2012. There were four experimental groups viz (a) control or without probiotics treated prawn (T1), (b) feed probiotics- Zymetin (T2) treated prawn, (c) so...
The study optimized the stocking density for Azolla based carp polyculture ponds under 3 different treatments like T 1 : 10000 fish ha-1 , T 2 : 11500 fish ha-1 and T 3 : 12500 fish ha-1. Fishes (Hypophthalmichthys molitrix, Catla catla, Labeo rohita, Cirrhinus cirrhosus, Cyprinus carpio, Ctenopharyngodon idella and Barbonymus gonionotus) were also...

Probiotics-treated pisciculture is a recent past idea in aquaculture technology which has opened a new avenue in growth and production management of organic-culture of commercially demanding species, like the freshwater prawn (Macrobrachium rosenbergii) farming. Probiotics increases the beneficial bacterial load in the culture system, which in many...
Formalin, a widely used preservative for museum specimen, has recently been reported to be used at overdose in Bangladesh to increase shelf-life of perishable foods and fishes that brought in the markets for sale. Practice of formalin application in fish has been reached to an extreme level where its consumption may create health hazard. The degree...

It is a well-established fact that Interest (Riba) has negative comportment for an efficient capital market. Greedy intent of making quick buck increases the riskiness of the market. This study ventures deep in...
Wireless technologies such as Radio Frequency Identification Devices (RFID) and Global Position System (GPS) play important role as value added services in information systems based Supply Chain Management (SCM) these days. The aim of SCM is to produce, distribute, logistics and deliver goods and equipment in right location, right time, right amoun...
Objective: To study anti-inflammatory and analgesic activities in swiss albino mice, two schiff bases namely acetophenone semicarbazone (ASC) and benzophenone semicarbazone (BSC) were synthesized and characterized. Methods: Two doses of the test compounds 25 and 50 mg/kg (p.o) for each were selected throughout the research work. The anti-inflammato...
In vitro propagation system has been developed for an important ornamental and medicinal plant, Muscari armeniacum Leichtil. ex Bak. A range of a cytokinin and auxin concentration has been investigated for axillary bulblet proliferation, and direct and indirect adventitious bulblet regeneration from the explants whole bulb, one fourth part of bulb,...
A method for the isolation, culture of the callus-derived protoplasts, and plantlet regeneration in Phellodendron amurense is described. In this study, the highest 92.0% viability with the yield of 2.4 10 5 protoplast / g fresh weight was obtained from callus, when the materials were treated for 6 hrs with Cellulase Onozuka R-10 plus Driselase. S...

Mattress fabric is one time used fabric. It need not require for washing. In this perspective, a project was taken to replace 100% cotton mattress fabric instead of Jute-Cotton blended mattress fabric. It is seen that Jute: Cotton blended mattress fabric posses similar properties to the 100% cotton mattress fabric. Bursting strength is an important...
