Introduction
I am a PhD Researcher in the Environmental Geochemistry group at the University of Helsinki, Department of Geosciences and Geography. My PhD research is focused on the burial potential of organic carbon in the vegetated areas of boreal lakes. By analysing sediment samples my aim is to deliver new understanding into the role of boreal lakes as natural carbon sinks and shed light on the effect that climate change and anthropogenic activity can have on carbon burial.
