The aim is to study the short, chaotic cycles experienced by specific cities, as a result of the interplay between their geogenic and anthropogenic components, which, so far, remain unexplored. Urban metabolism is used as a methodology for following up the periodical changes; moreover, socio-economical dynamics, which are barely discussed in metabolic urbanization approaches, will be incorporated in the discussion due to their importance as driving force of the seasonal change.
