Quaternary sediments assemblages from the Central Sudetes area have been studied using a multi-proxy approach: geological mapping, well-logs data, LiDAR DEM data as well as petrographic and sedimentological analyses. The study area is located within the Krzeszów Basin, an NNW-SSE elongated syncline built of Permian, Triassic and Upper Cretaceous vo...

Hebrus Valles Map is available online at https://smartcarto.com/gis/mars-and-hebrus-valles-exploration-zone/ Hebrus Valles is one of the 47 candidate Exploration Zones for the first human landing mission of NASA on Mars. The area meets specified criteria for a scientific expedition—among others, it has potential for the water and other resources...

The sedimentary succession exposed in the Gorzów Wielkopolski area includes Eemian Interglacial (MIS 5e) or Early Weichselian (MIS 5d–e) deposits. The sedimentary sequence has been the object of intense interdisciplinary study, which has resulted in the identification of at least two palaeolake horizons. Both yielded fossil remains of large mammals...

Krzeszówek profile provides new evidence for the character of topography-controlled glaciation at its southernmost extent during the Scandinavian ice-sheet advance in Mid-Pleistocene. Results of the petrographic analysis indicate that Krzeszów glacial lobe during the transgressional phase re-worked mainly local material with the observed negligible...

Michniewicz 1998; Pitura,...

Question
Good morning,
could you answer me what could cause such deformations in Pleistocene glaciolacustrine deposits like on attached photos? There are mostly slightly folded layers and many overturned folds, didn't find any faults.
What methods do you propose to examine and analyze such deposits?
Thank you!
