Introduction
Marwa Khalil is a professor of architecture and urban design in the Department of Architectural Engineering and Environmental Design at the Arab Academy for Science, Technology and Maritime Transport, Cairo, Egypt. Her research interests include, environment-behavior studies (EBS), community design and participatory approaches, design research and architectural education. Marwa is also a licensed practicing architect in Egypt and has previously worked for various architectural firms in Cairo.
