Introduction
Marko D. Petrović is a Senior Research Associate at the Geographical Institute ''Jovan Cvijić'', Serbian Academy of Sciences and Arts in Belgrade (Serbia). He contributes as a Visiting Professor to the South Ural State University, ISTiS in Chelyabinsk (Russia), and as an Honorary Fellow to the University of Wisconsin, DPLA in Madison (WI, USA). He is a human geographer and his research interests include geography in general, but particularly rural development issues and tourism.
