As technology is evolving rapidly and market demand is changing quicker than ever, many are trying to implement service orientation and adopt market standards to improve adaptivity. A microservice architecture makes applications easier to scale and faster to develop, enabling innovation and accelerating time-to-market for new features. The question...

Our research program aims at finding building blocks that are able to deal quickly with the constant change that organizations face. In order to do so, a deeper understanding of possible organization implementation variants is necessary, as well as the implications on the operation and IT support of organizations. In earlier research, we have compo...

Developing cross-organizationally usable applications is becoming increasingly important. However, actually re-using business applications has been hindered in practice often by implicit assumptions about organizational and IT implementation. We propose a method to gather requirements for cross- organizationally usable applications that, taking Des...

Our research aims at finding key concepts to link agile enterprises with agile automated information systems. To effectively respond to environmental changes, such as in market needs, technology, regulations or law, enterprises need to be able to change their supporting information system(s) accordingly. The Design and Engineering Methodology for O...

Our research program aims at finding and testing methods that allow organizations to become more RUN-time adaptive enterprises, with a near-zero time-to-market for new or changed products and services. Indeed, to thrive in increasingly more disruptive environments, an enterprise’s IT time-to-market should sustainably no longer be on the critical pa...

The increasing need for agility on one hand, and for timely and well-founded decisions on organization implementation on the other hand makes goal-oriented process simulation increasingly popular. However, a computer simulation may be of little value without a conceptual model which precedes the simulation. The Design and Engineering Methodology fo...

To survive and even thrive on environmental and internal change, organizations have to be agile. Though change occurs in orga-nizational essence, such as products and services delivered, most of the time change deals with different organizational implementations, such as sourcing, order of working and distribution of tasks. To informedly decide upo...
