Introduction
I work with economics and farm management applied to beef cattle farms, with an emphasis on production systems and related costs. I also study the economic viability of crop-livestock-forest integrated systems in Brazil, a growing alternative under climate changing environment. I have a fond interest in farmers' decision making and technology adoption, including social psychological and behavioural variables.

In the world, the majority of farms are family-based. However, migration of young people from rural to urban areas, and a lack of farm successors negatively impact on the continuity of family farming. The pattern of migration is unbalanced in terms of gender: women are more likely to leave rural areas than men, which has negative consequences for r...

Question
When I write or review papers I am always in doubt whether I should consider the bibliographical list, the tables, the abstract, authors' affiliations etc for word counting. Do I consider the entire document or just the main body of the manuscript? Thanks.
