Introduction
As a scientist at the intersection of psychology, education and AI, I pursuit my vision of adaptively aligned intelligent educational technologies from an interdisciplinary perspective. I employ a broad range of methodological and analytical approaches to address underlying cognitive processes, potentially influencing learner characteristics, and situational factors such as distractions.

Artificial intelligence is part of our everyday life, a component of technical innovations and increasingly becoming part of education. Intelligent systems are often assumed to make objective decisions, but numerous examples demonstrate how such systems take over our conscious and unconscious stereotypes and biases. By initiating processes of reflection, we strive to sensitize people to societal implications of these stereotypes and biases in intelligent systems.

Bees are significant contributors to our diverse flora, as they pollinate plants and trees. Particularly the “wild sisters” of our well-known honeybees significantly support this task, but without protective beehives and the care of beekeepers. According to numerous reports, habitats of wild bees are increasingly threatened, and some bee species are already extinct. We develop a mobile learning app where students can interact with a wild bee in a virtual space connected with project workshops in schools to generate a sense of responsibility at an early life stage. Our research is supported by the German Federal Environmental Foundation (DBU).
