Introduction
Maria Manuel Vieira, sociologist, holds a PhD in Sociology from ISCTE (Instituto Universitário de Lisboa). She is the coordinator of the OPJ - Permanent Youth Observatory, at ICS-University of Lisbon. Her current research interests: schooling and individuation processes, adolescent cultures in school space, school sex education, young NEETs.
