I am a physician (MD), holding a MSc (Harvard University), MPH and PhD, with specialty in Medical Biopathology/Laboratory Medicine and a fellowship in Clinical Chemistry/Biochemistry.
My areas of expertise cover the spectrum of clinical-epidemiological and laboratory research in 1) biomarkers, particularly adipokines, as diagnostic, prognostic and pathogenetic parameters in human disease, 2) environmental/lifestyle risk factors of diseases including obesity and diet, their public health implications, risk assessment and their long-term health effects of exposure.
As a Medical Biopathologist and Associate Professor in Biological Chemistry-Clinical Biochemistry, my major scientific interest is focused on metabolism and the role of metabolic biomarkers in human disease.
