One of the common weaknesses of Massive Online Open Courses (MOOCs) is their lack of interactivity with the learning materials. Where MOOCs do offer learning materials with a degree interactivity, this is usually limited to single content items. In any case, even interactive learning materials are generally constricted within a sequential order tha...
This paper presents a proposal for a screenplay writing framework for interactive VR feature films made using 360° video technology, presenting possible diegetic and extradiegetic interaction options on a pre-scripted story with different navigation alternatives. The interactive structure is based on the hero's journey and the classic cinematograph...

The process of authoring an interactive digital narrative has been one of the main issues in our field of studies. Throughout the history of the field, considerable attention has been given to the development and usage of authoring tools, very often disregarding the authoring process as a creative activity. In this chapter, we transcend the discuss...
In the past ten years, audiovisual creators have been working on the development of narrative experiences for extended reality (XR) technologies, especially virtual reality (VR). The evolution of this practice has led to the creation of a technical language and processes. The transfer of knowledge from cinematography and videography has been the ba...
This paper discusses the application of decolonial thinking to Interactive Digital Narrative (IDN) with the goal of creating a decolonial framework. We provide motivation for this endeavor, and report on a workshop we conducted called Time for Repositioning, aiming to start a decolonizing process in the EU COST Action INDCOR (Interactive Narrative...
