I am a PhD and University Lecturer at the Department of Caring Science, Åbo Akademi University in Vaasa, Finland. I do research in Caring Science, and my research topic is religious disaffiliation, how this affects an individual's health and wellbeing and how we can develop nursing care of individuals who suffer in this context. Also, I am interested in spiritual care, existential issues and ethics within nursing
