Este proyecto tiene por objetivo estudiar la ciudad de la Edad Moderna poniendo el acento en su dimensión espacial, o dicho de otro modo, en todo aquello que atañe a las distintas formas de concebir, idear y proyectar sus espacios urbanos; a las maneras con las que se describen, se narran y se representan, sin olvidarnos de los modos de usarlos, transitarlos y habitarlos. Esta mirada poliédrica a la ciudad, que en ocasiones puede recordar un palimpsesto, obliga a revisar la lectura e interpretación de las fuentes desde una mirada global, poniendo en diálogo sus métodos de análisis y las diferentes disciplinas desde las que se han investigado, como algunos planteamientos sugeridos en el ámbito de la Historia.
