Introduction
Doctor in Byzantine art history and architecture, my research focuses on the architectural space of monuments of the Middle and Late Byzantine period. I am particularly interested in thresholds and limits that structure space, in religious and social practices which occur there, and in the notion of liminality in its broadest sense.
