This faunistic paper deals with species diversity of Cerambycidae and Chrysomelidae (Coleoptera) in Iran. In total, 13 species were collected and identified (Cerambycidae: 8 species in 6 genera; Chrysomelidae: 5 species in 3 genera). The occurrence of Oxycarenus modestus (Fall.) in Greater Poland (NW Poland) has been confirmed, whereas the occurrence of Oxycarenus lavaterae (F.) has been recorded from this region for the first time.
Chorological data concerning 14 species from the subfamily Alleculinae have been presented. The species that are the most frequently observed in Western Poland are Pseudocistela ceramboides ceramboides (L.), Prionychus ater (F.), Hymenalia rufipes (F.), and Isomira murina murina (L.).
