Every April Autism Speaks celebrates World Autism Month, beginning with the United Nations-sanctioned World Autism Awareness Day on April 2. There is a growing interest in autism, including specific aspects such as autism in adults, the different forms of autism expression, metacognitive processes and emotional intelligence of children with autism. On this last topic, I found an interesting article by Drigas & Sideraki (2021) that presents a discussion on metacognition, emotional intelligence and autism.
