Introduction
My main scientific interests are: -Molecular evolution of sex determination mechanisms in dipteran species. -Genetic control of sexual behaviour in C. capitata and in disease vectors. -Biological control of agricultural pest insects and disease vectors (An. gambiae, Ae. aegypti, Ae. albopictus, P. perniciosus). -Bioinformatics applied to de novo transcriptome assembly and annotation. -Citizen science and community engagements for ecofriendly vector monitoring and control.
