Introduction
Marcela Matos is a Clinical Psychologist and Auxiliary Researcher at the CINEICC, University of Coimbra, who has developed research in evolutionary clinical psychology and third wave psychological approaches. Her PhD research was on “Shame memories that shape who we are”. Currently, her main research focus is investigating the impact of compassion and mindfulness based interventions on mental and physical wellbeing, and on physiological and epigenetic markers of prosociality and stress.
