Introduction
Marc Cheylan works at the Center for Functional and Evolutionary Ecology in Montpellier (part of the French National Center for Scientific Research) and on the Biogeography and Vertebrate Ecology team at the Ecole Pratique des Hautes Etudes in Paris (a member of the PSL Research University). His research falls within the general framework of conservation biology. His areas of interest are ecology, zoology, biogeography and the evolution of Mediterranean reptiles. Currently, Marc works on the monitoring of endangered species (turtles, lizards and amphibians), niche modeling, and the effect of anthropization and global change on Mediterranean biodiversity.
