Introduction
Mar Gutiérrez-Colón at the Rovira i Virgili University (URV) in Tarragona, Spain, holds a PhD in Applied Linguistics. She has coordinated the URV Official Master's Degree in Foreign Language Teaching (EFL). She has led research projects on the use of new technologies in language acquisition and distance learning (eLearning and mobile learning), and has published key articles in these fields.

StratApp is an Erasmus+ KA2 EuropeanUnion funded project aimed to improve the English academic reading skills of university students through a game-based application: StratApp (short for Strategies App), that can be accessed through mobile technology or web. We are currently working on the main reading skills and strategies needed to attain a B2 English level. We are also working on the pedagogical design, the types of texts and activities needed in order to reach B2 English level.
