When studying the photos of birds taken from 2003 to 2012 on Zmiinyi Island (the Black Sea), among Great Cormorants in 2006, 2010, 2012 there were revealed Shags (Phalacrocorax aristotelis (L., 1761)). The authors estimated their numbers near the island as 8-15 individuals.
