To illustrate how the texture evolution of a polycrystalline aluminum alloy is dependent on the deformation path, hot extruded AA6082 plates in T6 conditions were rolled with various deformation modes. Unidirectional and cross-rolling were conducted at room temperature for different levels of thickness reduction. The resulting textures were then ev...
Purpose
Online spiral pipe manufacturing is one of the most common processes for producing water and gas transmission pipes. Weld quality and pipe circumstances are the most important qualitative characteristics of these pipes determining the overall cost of production. The purpose of this paper is describing how to implement Six Sigma on the produ...
This study explores the effects of heat treatment on the microstructure and mechanical properties of explosively welded Ck60 steel/St37 steel. The objective is to find an economical way for manufacturing bimetallic plates that can be used in the rolling stand of hot rolling mill units. The explosive ratio and stand-off distance are set at 1.7 and 1...
The present work aimed at studying the microstructure and mechanical properties of Ck60/St37 composite plates fabricated by explosive cladding. The explosive ratio and stand-off distance were set to be R = 1.7 and s = 1.5t, respectively. Optical and scanning electron microscopy revealed that the bonding at the interface had a wavy morphology, but l...

Obtained results in your paper were supported by an interesting discussion. However, there is something unclear about the prepared sample for impact test.
In the experimental methods, you said that “Flyer and parent plates were prepared with dimensions of 200 mm×200 mm×2 mm and 200 mm×200 mm×10 mm, respectively”, now why your samples of Charpy impact test were not prepared in accordance with the dimensions of flyer and base plates, presented on the experimental procedures, the composite plate consisted of 16.6% of flyer plate (Fig. 2b. shows that the thickness of flyer plate in the prepared sample is 2mm, which means 20% of composite plates).
