Question
How can you - at the same time - enjoy and sustainably learn new aspects about classical management schools? - This question is of paramount importance in and outside academia.
In the last year, I created (together with young artists) this interactive podcast as a new open educational resource.
In this podcast, you will become the detective trying to solve the murder of the "Unfinished Business" that unravels in your ears. To get from one activity to the other you have to answer correctly a tricky question at the end of each act.
Please see for yourself and I would appreciate much your feedback!
I would much appreciate it if you participate in a short anonymised survey at the end so that I could draw conclusions for future projects.
Question
I am currently preparing an annotated bibliography for the topic Social Work Management (also: Human Service Management). Do you know publications that have been published within the period 1970-today? Thank you in advance.
Question
I‘m looking for meta-analysis about effects of virtual/augmented reality on social skills and competencies? - I am preparing for a project to would deal with VR and AR applications in higher education. Of importance to the project are the effects on development of social competencies such as empathy, change of perspective, dealing with ambiguity, self-reflection, role positioning, etc. Could you help?
Question
As I am interested in any (social scientist's) research on missionaries I would like to gain insights in a "rhetorical analysis" about acculturation of missionaries. Thanks.
Question
Background to this question is this: In the last years I did a qualitative study about intercultural experiences of German Protestant missionaries. In analyzing the narratives of the missionaries I came to the conclusion that not formal, but informal learning has a huge impact on the effectiveness of missionaries inculturation. As a trained social scientist with little theological education I am open to any comment and from any disciplinary background. So far, my focus was on the cultural psychological issues regarding missionary assignements and feel that it is time to think outside the box. Many thanks in advance

The book aims to explore theories, methods, and practices of social work management education in the context of higher education. It makes an attempt (i) to provide an overview of the theoretical principles on how social work management can be taught and learned; (ii) to analyse curricula, pedagogical approaches, actors, and structural and organisational contexts of social work management at higher education institutions; (iii) to gain a better understanding of the different teaching methods and learning strategies in social work programmes that help to develop students’ capabilities; (iv) explore the ways and the extent to which current social work management curricula address the rapid social and cultural changes in contemporary societies.
Project
Open educational podcasts have become a popular medium of communication in decentralised teaching and learning environments and are of growing interest to education and digital media studies. This Scholarship of Teaching and Learning (SoTL) project explores learners’ motivation and listening behaviour of the Classical Management Mystery Podcast Series. This podcast was created to provide a unique learning opportunity to acquire basic knowledge and skills connected with the history of management (e.g., the Bureaucratic, Administrative and Scientific Management School). Respondents need to a survey after completing the podcast exercises. Results will show that despite the challenges of distracted, contextually constrained listening and difficulties to apply the learning into their field, respondents support the ideas of an openly accessible podcast and learning opportunity for a decentralised teaching and self-directed learning experience.
