Introduction
I am a research associate and lecturer at the University of Applied Sciences Ruhr West (HRW) in the research group of Prof. Dr. Sabrina Eimler and Prof. Dr. Carolin Straßmann. As part of the RuhrBots project, I conduct research at the intersection of psychology and computer science, contributing experimental design knowledge and insights from a psychological point of view. My goal is to enable a satisfying user experience and equal access to technology for all humans.

Employing social robots in public spaces to support employees at work is a frequently discussed scenario. However, the success of robotic systems often depends on people’s willingness to initiate interactions with them. This makes understanding people’s usage decisions crucial, yet only limited research has been done on why people select publicly a...

Background: The consumption of 'fast fashion', which is expedited by cost-effective e-commerce systems, represents one of the major factors contributing to the acceleration of climate change. Recently, virtual influencers (VIs) have become a more frequent alternative to human influencers (HIs). VIs can be described as non-human agents who behave in a human-like pattern. Big enterprises such as Prada, Porsche, Samsung, or Ikea have already collaborated with VIs in the past. Even though it should be clear to users that VIs cannot practice...

As one example, the use of conversational agents (CAs) has increased. To ensure that information and advisories are taken up seriously, it is important for PIs to be perceived as a trusted source and a trustworth...

Questions

Question (1)
Question
Dear esteemed colleagues,
I am currently looking into the submission format for a paper to the PAJAIS. The MS Word Style Guide states that all text should be Arial 11pt., justified text. However, in another section on the PAJAIS website, it states that "PAJAIS does not have formal restrictions on page length. However, all manuscripts should be written concisely to avoid unnecessary length. An approximate guide for Research Articles is 12,000 words. Manuscripts that are more than 12,000 words are very likely to receive extra scrutiny from the editors. Prospective authors for PAJAIS publication should submit their manuscript double-spaced using Times New Roman 12 pt.".
This has led to some confusion - do I need to submit my paper as Arial 11pt. or Times New Roman 12pt.?
Many thanks for any answers!
