Relating morphological and ecological datasets can help us understand the functional links between form and function. Closely-related species tend to have similar morphologies, but conservatism in ecological attributes does not necessarily follow. This project relates diet type and locomotion mode in rodents to a set of accessible morphological characters, taking evolutionary relationships into account.
