I used the tool "Spatial analysis by regions", available in Patch Analyst extension for ArcMap, in order to conduct landscape level analyses on polygon layers for individual polygon regions. As a result I obtained values for the different spatial metrics except for the diversity metrics: Shannon's Diversity Index and Shannon's Evenness Index.
There are four main types of RCP scenarios with different targets of radiative forcing for the year 2100: RCP 8.5, RCP 6.0, RCP 4.5, and RCP 2.6. The climate variables available in WorldClim are monthly average minimum temperature, monthly average maximum temperature, monthly total precipitation, and bioclimatic variables. However, other climatic variables are limiting factors for cultivated plant species and their productivity (e.g., chilling hours, crop heat units, mean relative air humidity, etc.).
I intend to study the relation between the beginning of the flowering season for different wooden plant species and the meteorological conditions over the years. For that I need to identify those periods from satellite imagery.
During the last years many electronic databases of vegetation plots, mainly phytosociological relevés, were established in different European countries. These databases contain information which is extremely valuable for both testing various macroecological hypotheses and for nature conservation surveying or monitoring.
Somebody can help me to find vegetation-plot databases of relevés based in the phytosociological method made in Portugal?

I intend to use the Psychological Characteristics of Developing Excellence Questionnaire (PCDEQ), developed and validated by MacNamara & Collins (2011, 2013), in a study in Portugal. In order to apply the questionnaire I tried to find one already translated to Portuguese or Spanish, but I didn't find available. If anyone have that document, please send me.

We are preparing a project that intends to study how the climate change affects the distribution of Arbutus unedo, but the literature that we found about environmental factors affecting the species distribution is somehow vague. Most of the literature have general indications about the species ecology.

We are performing a study that intends to relate the natural regeneration of Quercus species - Q. pyrenaica, Q. suber, Q. rotundifolia, Q. robur, Q. faginea - in the center-eastern part of Portugal (Castelo Branco region), with the environmental factors in order to use that data (oak trees occurrence and other woody plants) as soil and climate indicators for different purposes (e.g., suitability for crops and forest stands).
The soil and climate attribute suitability and constraints per species to analyze are: soil pH, soil texture, soil type, lithology, temperature, rainfall, humidity, bioclimatic indices.

In the aim of a research project we need average quantities/ range of values of biomass (ton/ha/year) per forest type (e.g.: Eucalyptus stands, Maritime Pine stands, scrubland, ...) for the SW of Portugal and Spain.
Of course the variation range of the biomass quantities for the same forest stand could be high, and it depends from different attributes besides the tree species (e.g.: tree density, tree height, ...). Later in the project those values will be calculated considering different local management models.

The Mediterranean basin has long been a site of temperate fruit and nut production. Currently, new agricultural cultures like pistachio (Pistacia vera), a small tree originating from Central Asia and the Middle East, and Opuntia ficus-indica, a species of cactus that has long been a domesticated crop plant in Southern Europe, became plants with interest for large-scale production. So, In order to identify the most suitable areas to introduce those crops I would like to select the new species that are more viable economically.
Next year will be held in portugal a orienteering event with approximately 2000 participants. In order to measure the impact over the local economy of a rural county we need to chose a methodology that give us consistent results.
