Description
- Research with a number of experts from Brazil, Mexico, Argentina and United States and investigated the representation of Neotropical viper species and evolutionary diversity in protected areas. This work found that most vipers are far from receiving ideal protection and various species threatened with extinction are completely absent from protected areas. By assessing viper protection at species and regional levels, this work provides unprecedented evidence to support conservation planning
