The vision of our project is to reduce the threats to Telmatobius macrostomus and Telmatobius brachydactylus within their historic native range, especially within the Junín National Reserve. The specific goals of our project are to 1) build SERNANP’s capacity by developing a comprehensive conservation and management plan that relates ecological attributes of the Natural Protected Areas where these species occur to strengthen efforts, raise awareness, and expand government and civil support for the conservation of the Junín frogs; and 2) community members will promote the conservation of the two species of Endangered and endemic frogs within and around the Lake Junín National Reserve through educational outreach materials, and youth and adult volunteer park guards and committee members.
