Introduction
Currently working on non-native prosody, specifically the acquisition of rhythm in French L2 by English L1 learners and English L2 by French L1 learners. I am interested in identifying prosodic transfer mechanisms from L1 to L2. The project includes the description and analysis of 108 recordings using programs such as Praat, ProZed and Prosogram to analyse the speech signal. I am also interested in the role rhythm plays in intelligibility and comprehensibility of non-native language productions.
