The main objective of the Project, code RO02-0016, consists in the mapping and assessment of the ecosystem services in Divici-Pojejena wetland through the customized use of the European Union (EU) recommendations for Romania, stipulated in the Mapping and Assessment of Ecosystem Services (MAES) reports, regarding the achievement of the Action 5 objectives, within the EU Strategy in the field of Biodiversity. WETECOS is implemented by the National Institute for Research and Development in Environmental Protection Bucharest (INCDPM) in partnership with the Norwegian Institute of Bioeconomy Research (NIBIO) and the National Institute for Research and Development Danube Delta (INCDDD) Tulcea. Project financed through SEE Grants under the Programme RO02 Biodiversity and ecosystem services, Call no. 1 - Education and training regarding the contribution of natural ecosystems to major economic sectors.

This study is a PhD research regarding the geographical and physical conditions of Șușița River Basin from East of Romania. The research aims to analyze the changes in flow patterns in a very complex environment due to human impact and natural dynamics, as it happens in the Subcarpathian region of Șușița River Basin.
