Introduction
I am studying the spatial behavior of two species of snapper within a marine management area using acoustic telemetry and trough a citizen science approach with recreational fishers. I am interested in research with high applicability to sustainable fisheries management and conservation. I'm also a consultant, as a technical expert and/or project manager, for NGOs working in sustainable fisheries and marine conservation efforts.

ABSTRACT: Biological and environmental conditions are drivers of fish habitat use, making it essential to understand how fish move and use specific areas to inform effective fisheries management and conservation. This study quantified the residency and habitat use patterns of the juveniles and early adults of 2 commercially exploited snappers (Lutj...
Biological data collection often overlooks short-term environmental variations, potentially leading to under- or over-estimation of species abundance and ineffective conservation actions. This study investigated the complex relationship between oceanic and meteorological processes and the short-term abundance patterns of two economically important...
High-frequency (>175 kHz) acoustic telemetry transmitters are increasingly being used to track the movements of small fishes and other aquatic organisms. These transmitters, which are often smaller than conventional types, have primarily been used in freshwater, yet limited information is available on their efficacy in estuarine or marine environme...
