Project
To develop an evidenced-based curriculum for a leadership-course in higher education together with and for students of master programmes. To evaluate and implement a compulsory optional subject and to answer the following research and (very) practical questions (choice): - Which leadership related issues are of interest for our students? - What active and passive leadership experiences are reported? - How are subjective leadership theories related to the motivation to lead and to self-develop leadership competencies and self-efficacy? - How do we combine subjective experiences with scientific findings to finally roll-out a course?

To understand the key drivers of motivation in a change context and to further understand current challenges of leaders regarding regulation, compensation and compliance. To gain understanding regarding past change experiences of leaders and its correlation to organizational variables such as trust and climate. Additionally we would like to know whether modern leadership concepts do play any role in real life leadership. Finally we'd be happy to understand what kind of leadership trainigs are currently used and how they are evaluated by leaders. We'll realize an online a survey and an interview study with approx. 400 leaders from different branches and positions together with a very successful Berlin law firm. We'll keep you updated...

To clarify the above mentioned relationships and to test leadership self-efficacy as a moderator between DT / Npower and criteria such as power construal and trust in employees. For details see our current research proposal as of July 2018. Results are going to be integrated into a student leadership development program as well as into career coachings for master students. Data collection will start in Q4 2018 at two Universities of Applied Sciences in Northern Germany.
