Project
PLANETS is an out-of-school time (OST) program for youth in grades 3–8 that provides STEM learning with an emphasis on integrating NASA planetary science and engineering, particularly for underserved audiences. The goal is to provide OST youth and educators with current, relevant, and engaging NASA planetary science content through three existing OST units: Remote Sensing, Water in Extreme Environments, and Space Hazards.

An innovative, collaborative partnership to develop and disseminate out-of-school time (OST) curricular and professional development (PD) modules that integrate planetary science, technology, and engineering. We also research the impact of the materials developed with youth and on OST educator capacity.
