Introduction
I am a geographer specialized on the social dimensions of energy transition. My PhD is an Urban political ecology approach of energy vulnerability focusing on its emergence, experience and politicization. My Post-doc addresses the social acceptability of low-carbon innovations from an Oil&Gas major. Since 2021 I am the leader of the junior chair DYEV(Dynamics of energy vulnerability: experiences and politicization of everyday transport and domestic needs under energy transition) at the E2S/UPPA

Social housing providers have a significant amount of influence over large housing stocks, which gives them unique opportunities to address both energy efficiency and social inclusion. However, there are significant barriers to achieving these goals in southern European contexts, where obsolete housing stocks and widespread energy poverty situation...
Recent political ecology scholarship appears to be turning towards de-growth agendas and radical activism,
notably in Europe. These postures diverge somewhat from the 'classical' political ecological tradition rooted in
a critical deconstruction of dominant ideas and actors and field-based analyses. We posit a heuristic distinction
between these tw...
This paper studies the diverse actions, interventions and strategies initiated to address rising energy vulnerability among low-income households in the Barcelona region over the last decade. Drawing upon recent conceptual work around the politics of energy and in-depth fieldwork conducted over more than two years, we trace the different processes...
Opposition to offshore wind energy can cause major delays in the deployment of this technology, possibly compromising ambitious national strategies for increasing the generation of electricity to meet the net zero emissions target. However, shifting the perspective to the technology in full – from manufacturing to siting – can shed light on competi...
50 million Europeans face financial difficulties to heat, cook or light their homes.
Households in energy vulnerability either limit the use of these services because they do not have sufficient income, or devote a disproportionately large part of their overall budget to paying energy bills. European legislation requires Member States to establish...
Much has been written on the vast post-carbon transition policies in Spain and Portugal. However, their social consequences have been largely overlooked. Electricity prices have considerably increased with the share of renewable energy, while few policies were implemented to ensure household access to a vital commodity during a large economic crisi...
Payments for ecosystem services are often presented as a tool developed to support the green economy. This new paradigm attempts to reduce environmental damage through economic arguments and instruments. One of these, REDD (Reduction of Emissions from Deforestation and forest Degradation), has been much discussed at the international level. The suc...
