Introduction
Brown is an Assistant Professor at the University of the Incarnate Word in the Adult Education, Social Innovation, and Entrepreneurship program. Dr. Brown earned her Ph.D. from UGA. She holds an MPA and a BS in Biology with a minor in Chemistry from the University of Akron. She is a member of the AAACE and the Commission for Professors of Adult Education (CPAE). Brown was selected as the 2023 National Freedom Scholar for the Association for the Study of African American Life and History (ASALH).
