In food systems research, human ecology (practices, worldviews, networks) is rarely taken into account even though humans are the keystone species. Part of the reasons for this gap is the lack of methodological formatting of agronomists/ecologists wishing to understand systemic barriers to innovation and how overcome them. My PhD research aims to remedy this gap. Work is based on exchanges with stakeholder networks involving agroecological innovations clearly holding potential for upscaling.
