As the second excavation of Sanxingdui sites goes, the mystery of the statue with long eyeballs has drawn the attention of media audience. This paper is an attempt to solve the mystery in the light of ancient Chinese philology. The result shows that the people in Sanxingdui were newcomers from far distance but with the same cultural backgrounds.

April 21, 2021, a snow about 5 centimeters fell and buried the daffodils. It's just not the right season. I took a picture and wrote the poem in Chinese first and then translated it into English.

The book was written in 2006 in Chinese and a concentrated summary was published as a chapter of a book at the same year in Greece, which can be found on my profile on Research gate. However, the chapter is only a bunch of hairs of an ox over all of it's hairs. A detailed overview and detailed reinterpretations of all the eighty one chapters were g...

The most successful power reactor fuels have been oxide fuels. As of 2019, there are 452 commercial nuclear power reactors operating worldwide, and all of them use oxide fuels. This chapter will focus on the fundamental thermochemistry of various oxide fuel types that are currently in service or are being considered for the next generation of power...

During burnup of nuclear fuel, fission products accumulate. Post-irradiation examination of burned up nuclear fuel has revealed the presence of several phases, namely: the fuel matrix of UO2, with dissolved oxides present; a white metallic phase consisting of the so-called "noble metals" (i.e., Mo-Ru-Pd-Rh-Tc); a grey oxide phase consisting of alka...

The jade inscription was as early as in the Warring Satates of Zhou dynasty (before 300 BC). Previously it was interpreted as a text about Qigong. However, in this research it is revealed to be a concentrated description of cosmology--the genesis of the heavens and the earth. The article was written about ten years ago...

Ruthenium, rhodium, and palladium are fission products in nuclear fuels. These elements and their compounds change the properties of fuel pellets. Phase diagrams involving uranium have been constructed experimentally to study fission product behaviour, specifically diagrams containing the very stable UMe3 (where Me = Ru, Rh, or Pd) compounds. Discr...

In previous U-Pd phase diagram determinations, contamination reactions of berrylia crucibles were observed. Measures were taken to reduce the amount of beryllium in the samples; however, the possibility of formation of a very stable metallic compound, UBe13, was neglected. The measured U-rich side eutectic temperature and composition and the Pd-ric...

Post irradiation examinations of burned-up nuclear fuels reveal a host of fission products. The changing chemistry of the fuel has effects on the deformation of fuel pellets and interactions with the cladding. Thus, mechanisms of various types of corrosions have been the focus of both experimental and thermodynamic investigations during the past de...

Fission products (FPs) in burned up nuclear fuels form a very complex system. In simulating the behavior of the FPs, multicomponent phase equilibrium data are needed in some thermodynamic and dynamic codes used in nuclear industry. Typically, an inclusions consisting of URu 3 , URh 3 and UPd 3 were found in post irradiation examinations and they we...

Two annotations on The Analects of Confucius The Analects of Confucius is one of the earliest philosophical classics in China. It was written in the Zhou Dynasty and therefore has a history of more than 2000 years. Due to the unification of the Chinese character systems in the six states at Qin Dynasty and another substantial change of the system...

Ruthenium (Ru) is one of the more abundant fission products (FPs) both in fast breeder reactors and thermal reactors. Post irradiation examinations (PIE) show that both “the white metallic inclusion” (Mo-Tc-Ru-Rh-Pd) and "the other metallic inclusion" (U(Pd-Rh-Ru)3) are present in spent nuclear fuels. To describe this quaternary system, binary subs...

It is well known that there are some cosmological discussions in some received Pre-Qin classics. However, interpretations on these themes have been confusing because of a sudden change of the Chinese character system in Qin dynasty (~221BC). The author spent more than five years in re-interpretation of the classics with new methodology, which has b...

This paper was first published on the Chinese Archaeology website eleven years ago. The study shows that the damaged pottery pot might be the property of the famous Emporier of Da Yu in Xia Dynasty by interpretation of the two characters on it. The words are proved to be “文(命)氏” which represents the family name of Da Yu.

The Chinese numerical characters one to ten were made at the earliest time of the civilization by strokes with definite pictorial meanings. The research shows that the ten numbers tell a story by the most concise means: from one lumber to four lumbers (1-4), then, a structure forms (5) and then a house 🏠 (6). Seven means to cut (7) and right means...

The title means in English as :"A study on the origin of the trains of thoughts of the creators of the ancient Chinese numerical numbers one to ten". That is it's about how the creators of the numerical numbers of 1 to 10 was created in ancient China. So far, I see no any studies on the creation of the numerical numbers in other languages.

This is a interpretation of the newly unearthed Chu dynasty classics. It's published in http://www.jianbo.org in 2009. Bao Xun is a record of the will of Wen King of Zhou dynasty before his death. It reveals many of ancient discoveries of China, such as the agricultural achievements, the establishment of post system etc. It also explains why Wen Ki...

On the vessel unearthed in Taosi, China, two ancient Chinese characters were found. However, the second one had not been recognized before this study. In this paper, they were analyzed and recognized as "Wen Shi", which is a honorary name of the emperor Da Yu in late Xia Dynasty. The result show that around 3950-4500 years ago, meaningful writing...

Using earlier results, as well as our own experiments, we have shown the existence of an optimum frequency in a demulsification process utilizing an AC electric field. Within a frequency range of 20 Ha to 100KHz we have determined voltage curves with different insulation and emulsions, these demonstrate why demulsification by means of an AC field i...

The preparation and tests of the self-cleaning membranes are described in the paper. Satisfactory improvements of permeate flux are obtained, and some information on the change of structure of the enzyme layer is given indirectly. The experiments illustrate that it is possible to maintain the relatively high flux while the amount of enzyme may be d...
